Explanation Text Vs Procedure Text

Differences between procedure text and explanation text is :
➟ Differences : 
a. The two texts have different structures.
b. Explanation text discusses  an event that contains the purpose, cause, etc. While, procedure text discusses how to make something, which contains tools and materials, steps, etc.
➟ Similarity : both texts have the same instruction or steps.
Procedure text

How To Make Dadar Gulung

Ingredients : 
500 grams of flour
1 Egg
1/2 Coconut
Sugar
Butter
Food coloring
Salt
Water  

Steps :
1. Prepare tools and materials 

2. Take 1/2 coconut, peel the skin and grate it. 
 

3. prepare a frying pan. Enter the grated coconut and sugar to taste in a frying pan. stir until smooth, then drain. 
 

4. Pour 500 grams of flour, 1/2 tablespoon of salt, and 600 mL of water into the basin. stir until the skin mixture feels runny
 

5. Crack 1 egg then shake it. Then put it into the mixture little by little while stirring 
 

6. If it feels mixed and does not clot, take 5 tablespoons of the mixture into a small bowl, give food coloring according to taste. this dough as a garnish 


 

7. give food coloring in the mixture according to taste. stir until evenly distributed 


8. Prepare butter, teflon molding tools and dough. turn on the stove on medium heat 
 

9. Spread the mold with butter then drop the dough in the small bowl earlier (can be in the form of 
lines or polka-dots). 
 

 

10. Pour 2 tablespoons of the main vegetable mixture into the mold and wait for it to cook 

 

11. Prepare banana leaves as a base. if it is done, remove the rolled omelette skin over the banana leaves 
 

12. Put 1 tablespoon of sweet coconut on top of the rolled omelette skin. 
 

13. Fold the bottom of the skin. Then fold the right and left skin, roll. 



14. Perform step 9 to step 13 repeatedly until the dough is used up.

15. Arrange on a plate. The omelette is ready to be served
